Heritage Cards

Our Heritage cards celebrate significant events, leaders, traditions and places important to Afro-Caribbean culture. Many traditions we observe today have been organized long ago and were most likely formed as an act of protest / defiance, freedom or an act of joyfulness (which in itself was an act of rebellion). There are many versions of these stories and at The Coconut Tree we seek to find the truth, dispel any myths or stereotypes and encourage YOU to join in on celebrating our greatness.

We want to highlight the ability of Afro-Caribbean people to stand strong in the face of adversity. May we ALL never forget our strength and power to surmount any obstacle.

Let us not only continue living but THRIVE, FLOURISH and surpass any ideation of our inability to be great. We invite EVERYONE to celebrate this rich history and to continue having these discussions.
